Thai Herbal Ball Massage

A relaxing treatment to unwind your body and energize it fully. In addition to gentle swedish massage and stretching, the heated herbal compresses are applied over a majority of the body. The herbal ball is rubbed over the skin in a rolling fashion and gentle pressure is applied directly on the skin. This treatment helps to induce a calming and invigorating effect on the mind and body, thus is highly beneficial in chronic stress and anxiety. The client takes the herbal compresses home with them after the treatment for continued self-treatment use in bath and shower.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is designed to relax the entire body. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with the movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. And it may even help after an injury.

Hot Stone Massage

The massage therapist incorporates hot stones along with different techniques to relax the long skeletal muscles of the body.  The therapist holds the stones in their hands & uses them to massage with.  Hot stones are never placed & left on the body, this is a NC state law. Occasionally, cold stones can be added on the face or other areas to calm swollen blood vessels & soothe hot skin.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a manipulative treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture, or inflammation. Connective tissues called fascia surround the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs of the body. Points of restriction in the fascia can place a great deal of pressure on nerves and muscles causing chronic pain.

Please do not apply lotion prior to treatment. This technique is not a massage, no oils or lotion are used to prevent sliding.

*Treatment time includes assessment*
